Helping businesses and the community grow and prosper.

New Members

Membership is the heart of all Chambers of Commerce. The financial support as well as volunteerism to manage and assist with business programs is only possible through our members. The East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce hosts over 200 events per year to help you promote your business!

We are very proud to have been awarded a 5-Star Accreditation from the United States Chamber of Commerce; named American Chamber of Commerce 2010 National Chamber of the Year; Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 2009 Chamber of the Year; Louisiana Culture Award for Economic Development with St. Tammany Parish, St. Tammany West Chamber and our collaboration with the City of Slidell Dept. of Cultural and Public Affairs. Our membership is at an all time high, our events are strong and well attended, we continue to provide a voice of business on local, state and federal levels; and we are continuing to build coalitions for a strong business community. We are Leading Business and the Community to new levels.

While it is true that members receive more benefits from the Chamber if they are a volunteer or attend programs, it is also important to point out that even if a member never walks through the door of the chamber or attends an event, they still benefit greatly from membership by being a part of the business community and assist in promoting economic development, transportation and legislative issues addressed by your Chamber on a daily basis.

It is our goal to give back to our members as much as possible through providing networking opportunities, educational seminars and a voice for business throughout the region.

We have monthly luncheons and eight breakfasts a year with speakers to provide valuable business and/or community information. We host major fundraisers a year, including our Awards Banquet, Business and Community Showcase, and an Annual Golf Tournament. Every month FREE workshops are offered to help advance your business. Business After Hours are a great place to network and introduce your business to the community we lead. We have affordable options for your business to sponsor our events. For more information, contact JoBeth Kavanaugh, Events & Marketing Director. Don’t forget to check out the events section of our website for all the available events that you can use to help your business grow.

Your chamber is your best source of referral. When you join, your business is listed on our website, in our yearly printed directory, on our MyChamberApp which is available on smart phones. When a call comes into the chamber for a recommended business, we recommend YOUR business! When we get the call, we refer directly from our member database first.

Please utilize the ABC Deals Always Buy Chamber to offer other chamber members, or the general public, special deals. These can be offered by your business and you can update directly on your website page through Chamber Master. For more information, contact Kendra Hamrick, Technology & Publications Director.

Committees are a great place to get started in giving back to the community. We offer, Grassroots Advocacy/Public Policy, which is grassroots efforts to reach out to local, state and federal officials with business concerns. During election cycles, we interview each candidate and provide feedback on every one who participates so you can pick the best person to represent you and your business. The Education Committee works to provide a bridge between businesses and local schools and colleges for interns, workforce development, as well as provides scholarships to local high school seniors looking to advance to higher education. An Educator of Distinction Award is provided to a local teacher who promotes education and community in the classroom with great rewards from local businesses.

The Small Business Support Committee works with SLU and SCORE to provide FREE business counseling and FREE monthly workshops to help your business succeed. This is just a touch on the many wonderful things that our committees do in the community, for more information call the Chamber at (985) 643-5678 to find out the committee schedule.
